Oh the Angst! Loved it. I feel like it might be a Novella where the other characters we met have their own books? Not sure, but that takes nothing away from the book itself.

I love that you never know what you’re getting from S Doyle, but it’s gonna be good.
Jane is “different”, she’s kinda a super hero, not exactly with Super Powers, but with an unusual anatomy she’s able to do things others can’t. However that doesn’t mean her life is easy. She’s just starting college, uncertain of herself and what she wants from her future. Even with the support of her ACLU Lawyer Mom and life long best friend, she’s struggling to find her place in the world. Then along comes Logan, rich son of a recently convicted white collar criminal, he views himself as the Villain in our TeleNovella, because everyone has a role to fill, right?
I really enjoyed this exploration of the expectations being different or unusual places on someone, should they explore all the options or given in to the thing they seem destined to do. Framed in the world of a freshman, where every young adult is figuring out how to be self sufficient and a self starter as well as navigating new friendships and roles they get to plan. Can’t wait to find out what happens next in the finale of this duet!

I tried explaining this novel to a friend and almost had to draw a venn diagram. There’s a lot going on in this novella. It’s pretty effective in explaining the various character’s histories with each other that allows each pairing to make sense in the current day.
I do doubt that none of the more illicit assignations would have been kept secret by the film crew though given the character’s popularity in the film industry, that seemed a stretch too far.

Daisy Prescott’s Wingmen are getting all baby-fied. Watching Tomcat fumble his way through this crazy experience alongside his friends was perfection. So awesome to be back on Whidbey Island via this cute novella
